He thinks of all the checks he’s given Jeremy in the past couple weeks, the times he’s thrown him off his feet, and feels his confusion, his shock, turn to growing horror. “Jeremy.”
“Don’t look at me like that,” Jeremy says, and puts the car into park. “I didn’t know until a couple days ago. And I’m not keeping it, so.”
