They aren't going to be very happy when they realize that Wemmbu is not, in fact, fine.

Whumptober 2026 — Day 2 — Prompt: Stranded
Wemmbu and Boosfer were trapped in the underworld, and Wemmbu was handling it very well. He has to be handling it well. He won’t admit otherwise.
Boosfer just wants to annoy the demon at first, but that’s before he notices the shift—the panic. He’s not good at comforting people, and Wemmbu isn’t one to let others comfort him anyway, but he has to do something—this doesn’t make them friends though.

In the wake of Wemmbu and Flame’s battle against the thousand Lawmen, they start their duel with one another, unsurprisingly.
They’re both exhausted and low on gear. Flame loses control of his fire and accidentally burns Wemmbu, who has run out of fire resistance potions.
Neither of them should be surprised. They’re rivals. They’re fighting each other.
But they have an unspoken understanding together—they aren’t trying to kill one another.

Whumptober 2026 — Day 4 — Prompt: Pinned
After defeating the Law, the four UU protags are, for once, not at each other’s throats. There’s a lull in the general chaos that they have to deal with, and they’re almost friendly with each other.
However, a small uprise of lingering Lawmen rise up, still angry about Lettuce being locked up. Wemmbu agrees to help the others with quickly taking down the remaining Lawmen, but he ends up pinned under some rubble, slowly bleeding out.
He makes the intelligent decision not to tell anyone about this.

Whumptober 2026 — Day 5 — Prompt: Enemy to Caretaker
After killing TheLobsterMan and revealing his identity to Jaden, Wemmbu is content to threaten the pirate and leave. However, he doesn’t get the chance to do that when he realizes he was injured—and unable to hide it.
He is expecting Jaden to take the chance to kill him, or maybe leave him to bleed out just as Wemmbu had left him without gear after Rejoice’s death. Instead, to seemingly both men’s surprise, Jaden begrudgingly patches Wemmbu up.
