Summary
Nagumo’s arm lands by her side, her ponytail bouncing against her neck and the ball cracks against the opposite end of the court. 7-0. The crowd around her bursts into applause, students cheering and elbowing one another, get-a-load-of-her expressions plastered onto their faces. The noise threatens to swallow her up in their screams but Niikura’s gaze remains trained on her figure.
Oblivious to the chaos, Nagumo raises one fist up in the air–sweaty and sun-soaked–and keeps it there, poised up like an offering to the gods. Her eyes sparkle in the light, fixed to the sky. Niikura’s body moves before she fully knows what she’s doing and her finger snaps on the shutter.

Anis, oblivious to her musings, spreads her arms wide in an overly grandiose gesture.
“I call it… the flameshooter!” She looks immensely proud of herself at the name and it’s with Anis’ face in mind, cheeks rosy red, that Euphie calls up fire. The device in her hands goes wild, spewing red everywhere. “EUPHIE OH MY GOD!”

“Yokai!” she screams, turning to the figure behind them.
“There’s no yokai here!” Yu snaps, irritated. Her hair frames her face in a much more ominous way without her pigtails and she’s got a claw-like grip that could rival a bird’s, but it is definitely Yu squatting behind them and not some otherworldly creature. Aya’s heart slides back down her throat. “Except for you two gaming demons maybe.”

Time grinds to a screeching halt. Adora’s fingers turn cold and numb, the piece fumbling out of her grasp and rolling across the board with a deafening thud. She watches the exact moment the realization hits Catra in the gut, the way shock flits across her face, then guilt and anger before finally settling on disappointment.
“I gotta go,” Catra says, standing up abruptly. “I have to, uh, do something.”

Summary
The kids in her class watched as the teacher set the wing carefully back into place. Throughout the next few weeks, they took turns bringing seeds up to the bird’s beak, approaching slowly until she got close enough to take them out of their palms. They took turns switching out her water bowl and bringing her out into the yard, where she hopped around on the grass for a few moments, her injured wing flapping behind her, before they ushered her back into the room.
Seyeon’s favorite pastime was to lie down in the grass and watch the little sparrow hop. Its wing often flapped once, twice, before it remembered and inevitably crashed back down against the ground.

Summary
Inori holds her ending position for the required ten seconds, drops into a bow and then starts skating for the exit. Even as a crowd of reporters surges forward to greet her, Inori keeps her gaze fixed on Hikaru. She gets off the bench and makes her way towards the ice like she’s drawn by a magnet.
Inori can’t wait any longer. The words burst from her throat like a firework.
“Hikaru Kamisaki!” she hollers, dropping down onto one knee on the ice. There’s the click and whir of metal as a dozen cameras are trained on her but she doesn’t care. “I’ve loved you ever since I saw you land the triple axel, triple loop on television. Would you please do me the honor of going out with me?”

Richeh would belittle her, Tetia would probably try and get her to do something egregious like smile more and Coco–
Agott risks a glance across the room where Coco is staring, wide-eyed, as Brushbuddy curls around her wrist, matching wobbly, huge eyes on the two of them. Agott gets so caught up in the similarities that she nearly misses Qifrey’s next sentence. Ugh, see this is what she means! Working with Coco would be too distracting.
