“What took you so long?” she interrogated, dragging him along. Draco fought to hide the wince as she inadvertently tugged at his shoulder.
“That’s none of your business.” Draco replied harshly, trying to detach himself from her grip, whilst simultaneously wishing she would never let go. As nosy and stubborn Pansy was, she might as well be the only person who somewhat cared about him. He just wished he was better at showing that he, too, cared.
“Why don’t you tell me anything? You know you can trust me.” And now Pansy was facing him, holding his palms in hers, looking up at him.
If he hadn’t practiced the art of sneering for the 16 years of his life, he might as well have broken down then. But there was a reason why he hadn’t cried in years, no matter the words from his mother or the cruciatus of his father.

Whumptober Day 2: Lost in the Woods
--an alternative take on Draco getting turned into a ferret
Draco didn’t have much time to dwell on the fact that he was currently a fucking weasel before he felt the heavy thud of a limping foot towards him. Somewhere in that hind brain of his he registered that he should probably run, that this was dangerous, that this man currently prowling towards him had a burning hatred for him.
He scrambled to get his feet–no, paws, underneath him, before the ground fell out beneath him and he let out a very undignified squeak of terror. Calm down don’t embarrass yourself anymore than you already have- but his ferret brain didn’t seem to understand. His hind legs kept flailing around, as if enough kicking would somehow bring the ground back to him.

Whumptober Day 3: hypothermia
Continuation from day 2 (lost in the woods) featuring draco malfoy as a ferret whump.
And now Draco understood what his father meant. A delicate touch of cool on his nose, melting into a puddle as he fought his weasel brain in the urge to bat the snowflakes out the air, more little delicate touches, until they were no longer delicate but stabbing and coming harder and harder.
The pain started to numb over. Breathing was becoming hard. His eyelids felt heavy.
Just one warm memory, please.

Another take (yes very original) at Sasuke and Naruto's fight when Sasuke tries to leave Konoha
And then there had been the terror of the Land of the Waves. He had been terrified he was going to lose Sasuke when that bastard had jumped in front of those needles.
Sasuke had been the second person whom Naruto was terrified to lose, after Iruka.
But Naruto also remembered that warm fuzzy shock of competing against Sasuke on who could climb to the top of the tree the fastest, gazing at the sunset together, just as he had the many times he’d followed Sasuke home, waiting for the day that maybe, just maybe Sasuke would notice him, and invite him to fill that space at his side that his eyes would always dart to.
