Summary
Akito had known exactly what kind of room they'd booked. He had been there when Toya made the reservation for a twin room—he'd looked at the pictures, and had even agreed that two separate beds would be perfectly fine.
They were already going to spend their time together anyway, like what they've always done, so what did it matter if they slept separately?

Summary
The room was silent. Except it wasn't completely silent.
The walls in this house weren't particularly thick. She could still hear things happening outside, only muffled enough that she could hear when she listened carefully.
At first there was nothing but the sound of something in front her room. Akito, presumably.
Then more footsteps came up the stairs, and a moment later she heard a startled little shriek.

Summary
Akito could barely hear them anymore.
He could hear the voices, technically—they were all around him, overlapping and rising in volume, each accusation seeming to hit him from a different direction.
The actual words were beginning to blur together, reduced to fragments of sound that his mind could barely process.
