Summary
“The point was, when the choice came between leaving his dream to be the first Curtis boy to go to Collegue or to let his kid brothers rot in the foster system?
He didn’t even have to think about it. The choice was made.
Darry would never forget the look on his brother’s faces when he got home that twisted night.
They were sitting together on the couch.
Sodapop was bawling, struggling to get a breath in, holding their youngest brother close to his chest.
And Ponyboy with a haunted, faraway look in his eyes.
Gosh, Pony was only a kid.”The one where Pony is eight years old instead of thirteen when their parent’s accident happens, and we still have a twenty year old Darry who is just very stressed about messing up and doing right by his brothers.

Summary
“Sodapop Curtis would never describe himself as a careful person.
Quite the opposite, actually. He liked to think he was reckless. Brave. Funny, most of the time.
But things had started to change after the accident.
He’d started to notice things. Just little things.
Especially when it came to his kid brother .
Ponyboy was Soda’s baby. He’d been Sodas all along.”The one where an eight year old Ponyboy is sick for the first time after the accident that took their parents away. Soda frets (for a good reason) Darry feels guilty. The gang helps.
Also, Cherry Valance is there?Title from the Spring Awakening song “Whispering”
