Six alien species - each fleeing destroyed homes and at war for their own survival - have come through a quantum rift to make a new home on our small, bountiful planet. Decades of war have seen the defeat of the human defenses, but now help has come from an unlikely place: the Wolfe shifters who are now in control of the planetary government, and who believe the futures of wolfe and man to be inextricably linked.
Alexei & Damon are two very different humans living very different lives on opposite sides of the planet. But love and other entanglements lead each of them to become involved in some *very intimate* foreign relations - and both will end up unlikely ambassadors for Earth.

Part IV of the Rift Series (a Sequel to 'Rind')
Six years after Peace was established across an occupied Earth, a lonely wolfe exile in the midst of a snowstorm stumbled across a most exciting treasure named Gustin, who happened to be a Human of Particular Importance. After a year of snowstorms, awkward exes, embarrassing ceremonies, and delicious jam toasts, the two settled into a new home, healed old wounds, and got ready to raise their darling little cub in the safest, most boring way possible.
Fate had other plans.
Nineteen years later, Sodre and Lucky, two young half-wolves in the Irion, end up as companions on a rather incredible journey. Along the way, they encounter good guys, bad guys, in-between guys, danger, adventure, romance, promise, and maybe a cub or two.
