Summary
The stories that Tobirama and Madara had heard about soulmates were complete bullshit. Knowing the person who you were supposed to love unconditionally for the rest of your life did not mean that you fell in love with them immediately. This was especially true for Tobirama and Madara. For them it took time, and they had to move forward in baby steps.

Summary
Tobirama is sent out with Madara to investigate a series of disappearances at a compound near the boarder of the Wind Country. Neither of them are happy about being sent off with the other, but they go anyway, being the loyal shinobi that they are. It doesn't take them being there long for them to realize that things aren't as cut-and-dry as they had originally anticipated. The attackers seem to have some sort of ulterior motive, but what could it possibly be? Who is behind the disappearances, and why can't Tobirama sense them? Will they find out, and will they end up changing their opinions of each other now that they see the other in a different light?

Summary
Madara Uchiha was a basic man who liked to keep things simple, oddly enough. He was content with his role in the village as the Hokage’s right hand, even though he shared the spot with Tobirama, a man that he thought had no redeeming qualities at all. He was happy to watch the village prosper; to see his brother and other members of his clan grow into productive members of society and actually live, instead of simply surviving.
So, with all of his simple wants met, he should be content...and he would be if not for that stupid, irreproachable Senju. How dare Tobirama begin to make himself seem more likable in Madara’s eyes? What do you mean that he’s good with all children, even Uchiha kids? When did he develop such a witty sense of humor? When did he get so damn attractive?Or… after things in their newly formed village begin running smoothly, Madara begins to have a series of crisis-inducing epiphanies about Tobirama.
