    Those birch trees twisted into his eye sockets, taking root in his mind. Their eyes stared at him, and it unnerved his easy temper. Shadows of a laughing boy, pitch black and swirling like silt, weaved through the copse near his home. It looked remarkably like a silhouette of him, hair down to the shoulders, thin wrists, but the thing never once spoke. Just stared once it noticed him looking at it, too.

    Once it held out an apple, which fell from its palm and rolled along the ground. Isaiah had seen his fair share of them, but this one was a bright red. Stained glass window red. It cut through the grim grey of the autumn. The crisp skin beckoned him in, asking him for a spare moment. Just one bite...

     

    Or: A retelling and alternate universe of the Vessel's story, complete with more horror elements and serious scenes. Abaddon isn't really in this per se, he's like silent entity. For the sakes of disturbing the Vessel.

    I'm thinking about this also being a story where the exorcism kinda works and the Vessel is in charge. Let me know in the comments if you want to see this become that.
