This shouldn’t be so hard. Why was it so hard? The fey in his arms was an enemy. This person was the leader of his enemy. This wasn’t about a brief friendship formed at a party. This was war. Killing them was necessary. Killing them was a mercy. It had to be done. It had to be.
Some time post-Bloom, in a darker universe, the Unseelie and the Goblin Court find themselves at war once again. As before, a soldier faces a prince on the battlefield, and the aftermath changes the course of both their lives forever.
