Summary
Considering a number of the travellers must head to Wellgrove, Agnea suggests that everyone stops by her hometown, Cropdale, to spend the day and meet her family and townsfolk. Catching-up with family she learns that the Raspberry Festival is on today. Knowing Throné's love for raspberries, and how Agnea invited her to come live in Cropdale after she is freed, she shows her around town and at the festival.
(Sequel to 'The Snake Coils and Uncoils' but can be read as a standalone.)

Summary
The travellers head to Montwise, where Throné plans to eliminate Father. When the travellers split into groups to attend to others' quests Throné informs Agnea that she can't join her. After an ensuing argument Father strikes and kidnaps Agnea to use as a shield against Throné. Without delay Throné heads to where Father wishes to meet to save her--she must save her.
