If someone has resources to fill in those cracks themselves, the answer to that question might be more flexible then expected…but even if those missing spaces are filled with gold, that doesn’t change the fact the broke item is permanently altered by the accumulating damage.

Siffrin was having a having a perfectly lovely day. Like, sure, they were aware that there are like 50/50 odds the world ends tomorrow, but that’s just a detail.
The world ending is certainly a bare footnote in Siffrin's day after Loop turns up to interrupt and turn the previously lovely day into a rather stressful one.

It’s suddenly quiet. Odile’s eyes open as though she had just woken up. As though that were just an awful dream.
She can think of only two explanations. Either she blacked out somehow and ended up back in Dormont, or none of that actually happened.
But neither of those make sense…If anyone were to be trapped like this, Odile is glad that it's her.

The King is dead and, as expected, the loops continue.
First task completed, this leaves Odile with far more time to really consider the fact that Time Craft is very much impossible. Time is also needed for her to address that, along her many other questions, to Loop.
Trust is a little hard to build when the foundation began so shakily - something true for Loop too, even if for rather different reasons then her.

There are three things that are most terrible about time loops - the horrible unpreventable inevitabilities, the growingly dull repetitive motions sucked of joy, and the frustrating little irritations that cannot seem to be deviated from.
Novelties are found too, though - and far more might be expected, as for better or worse, Odile learns best by trying out new ideas and following through until they've reach their...logical end point.

Summary
Due to wish related consequences, Loop gets stuck in Odile's head for something like a REAL vivid flashback. Some calculation is needed for Loop to figure out it’s not a fight the researcher lost, but something WAY more embarrassing. Harsh judgement is passed by Loop regarding Odile’s taste in woman, considering Loop is weirder about basic physical touch then most people are about sex. Overall, it should be no surprise the aftermath of all that is just as bad, even if for different reasons.

Still, due to the delay, it is a very VERY awkward first impressions made between the star and the unfortunate Researcher when the two parties do finally meet...several loops in.
