The worst part about this is that James had just proposed to Ruby, now Ruby is back living with her parents, staying in her teenage room but living in a body that feels foreign to her. Trying desperately to spark any kind of recognition. Especially after she learns of the life that she had shared with this James. Still living in confusion, Ruby begins to start falling for James again, but it feels like the person that she was keeps slipping farther and farther away from her. If you haven't watched it, you need to watch it but watch it in its original German with the English subtitles because you will lose so much with the English dub.
Based on the amazon prime series - I've not read the books yet unfortunately, The fic Nowhere To Go But To You is set after season 1. This series of stories is set during season 1.
