Summary
The last thing he sees before he loses consciousness completely is a long, streaming flash of green, so out of place from the rest of the ocean’s muddled scenery that he knows he never could have missed it. What a beautiful color, Arthur thinks, before the world fades to black.
Or: A repeated meeting with a young mermaid brings Arthur one step closer to finding what he thinks he's been missing his whole life.

Summary
“However, some people,” his mother continues, drawing Arthur out of his thoughts, “spend their entire lives without meeting their soulmate. And plenty marry just fine without needing to meet them, and without seeing in color. You shouldn’t worry about it.”

Summary
It was said that meeting your soulmate was unlike any other feeling in the world. It was as if everything and everybody else ceased to exist. Some, Arthur read, only needed to hear their other half’s voice. And for others, there were the dreams. Those were his favorite ones to hear about.
OR
Some people have dreams about their soulmates. Some people don’t. Arthur, much to his dismay, is one of the latter.

Summary
Arthur is the god of dreams
"Lots of things remind him of his father like smoke, the sunset on a frigid winter evening, and slit throats. His father, fortunately for Arthur, has been dead for years now. His grave sits somewhere in the mountainsides of Iceland, he thinks. Arthur vows to never go himself. He has been thinking, contemplating sending Eames to stab the grave a few times, just to be sure, you know. He hasn't bothered to bring it up to the Forger himself yet.
He has time. He always has time.
Arthur used to spend that time, when he was a small child, dreaming. He wanted to be a great warrior like the stories his mother would tell him at night, the one filled with great kings and kind gods.
He has met a few great kings, a few terrible ones, and no kind gods. Gods, as he has found, are rarely that."

Summary
The two most important people in Arthur’s life are Mal and Eames. In their own, different ways, they’ve understood him, supported him, even defined him for most of his adult life.
Which is why it’s completely ridiculous that he’s ended up wandering the world alone with Dominic Cobb.

Summary
Arthur considers it terribly gauche to feel tortured about his status. He presented at fourteen and the facts read thusly: He was an omega. That would never change. The world would see him a certain way due to his status. That would also never change. He could self-flagellate, he could martyr himself, he could rant and rail – or he could proceed with his life exactly as planned. It was neither a death sentence nor a terminal illness, and even those he’d beat before.
(Arthur tries to plan for the unplannable. Eames confronts a future he never expected with someone he never considered. Everyone eats a lot of brisket.)

Summary
"Tell me what can I do, what can I say. 'Cause darlin' I don't wanna fade away" (Fade Away, Bruce Springsteen). If you play with fire you can win or you can get burnt. If you're burnt and you are left with no memories at all, would your life ever be the same?
