Following Genesis' release from slumber below Gaea's surface, he continues to base his life out of what remains of Banora. The gardens flourish, though the ground is cracked and broken. Life moves on. There is no SHINRA. There is no War. He was proven righteous in his faith, in his pursuit of Her blessings, and as such is bound to fulfill the final act of prophecy:
Even if the morrow is barren of promises
Nothing shall forestall my return
To become the dew that quenches the land
To spare the sands, the seas, the skies
I offer thee this silent sacrificeHe won the struggle against degradation and outlived those who sought to destroy him. Genesis was given everything he struggled for, and yet is restless in his solitude. He is restless in his silence. In seeking the final places where Sephiroth lived and breathed, in seeking the place of his death, in prayer to the cruel GODDESS who has granted him this silence, he is given one final GIFT.

Summary
After the grueling 11 year war with Wutai finally comes to an end, the boys from Banora are First Class SOLDIERs and heroes to boot! With the Year's End holiday looming on the horizon, Shinra finally lets them visit home. In a gesture of holiday goodwill, knowing he has nowhere to go, Genesis invites Sephiroth back to Banora.
This proves a terrible mistake. No amount of threats from Gen or warnings from Angeal prepared Sephiroth to meet Chicane Rhapsodos. Noted soprano and Banoran beauty, she's had a crush on Sephiroth since she saw his photo in the papers as a kid. A small pile of coincidences later, Chicane obtains the nicest Year's End gift she's ever received.
Follow Chicane's experiences with meeting her hero, regional theatre, and society family politics; and the realization that nothing feels as good as subverting expectations.

Summary
For someone who claimed to hate his hometown, Genesis was oddly eager to bring Sephiroth there. Everyone in Banora greeted Genesis like the prodigal son returning home, except for the people he cared for most. Sephiroth was the only one surprised when he set the tablecloth on fire.
~In which Genesis's parents are completely prepared for Genesis's fiery response to being ignored, Sephiroth falls out of a tree, and apples become tools of seduction.~
