Overworked and understaffed at the end of her last slingback out to Bakhroma Green, the Chief Medical Technician for Kaslo Freighting hauls herself out to what had better be the line's final pickup. It's only supposed to be a routine check, making sure no one's dead or dying in a way that might reflect poorly on the corp's reputation. But the people inside the pod are nothing like she's expecting, wounded in ways beyond her capacity to heal. She isn't one to get attached, but...there's something about the cagey, clever teenager and the wily, charismatic prospector who definitely isn't the man he's supposed to be.
But she isn't all she claims to be, herself. And maybe, in finding a way to help them mend what's been broken, they might just help her do the same.

Dead Dove: Do not eat. There is nothing redeeming in this story. Nothing good at all. The only thing I have done remotely decent here is to age Cee up to 25, which is not mentioned in the story. This fic is for people who read the tags and definitely want to subject themselves to a twisted main character who causes immense pain to the other main character. From a Tumblr ask: Can't quite believe you'd write a fic for little old me 🥰 Ezra is one of my favourites, I adore the dichotomy of the character, he's dangerous but soft, educated but unrefined. I love fics with feels, to me the emotion is what makes smut really connect. Maybe something from before he goes to the green? One final night with his lady before he knows he has to leave. Or conversely, a reunion after he and Cee escape. I'd be happy with anything at all. I know whatever you write will be amazing ❤
