Summary
Ignoring his duties and responsibilities as next in line for Master of the Shimada Clan, Genji refused to listen to Hanzo, who attempted to straighten him out. On orders of the clan, Hanzo was forced to kill Genji in a violent confrontation.
However, what if the tables were turned? What if it had been Genji who prevailed against Hanzo on that fateful night?
NOTE: I apologize to anyone who is following or reading this fanfic. This fanfic is discontinued indefinitely.

Genji is ordered not to tell Hanzo a word of what the oyabun has decided. If Hanzo is guilty—and so many of the faces that stare at Genji over cups of matcha an omnic maiko pours are so thoroughly convinced of Hanzo’s guilt that they call his dedication to the family an act—then he will know what crime he will be executed for. If he is innocent—and Genji can feel a few select eyes burning holes through his skin, like staring would reveal the truth—Hanzo will be informed, should he win.
He wants to tell Hanzo, though. He wants to apologize. He wants to explain that this is all a mistake, but once again, as always, Genji is too cowardly.Series

“What do you mean that the intelligence is wrong?” Jack shouts, slamming his fist down onto the conference table.
“I mean that it’s wrong, Jack.” Gabriel collapses into a chair around the massive circular table with a sigh. “It’s wrong. Hanzo Shimada isn’t the one the oyabun want to take over. It’s Genji.”
“That’s bullshit.” Jack picks up one of the manila folders from the table just to crumple it in anger. He vaguely hopes it wasn’t an important dossier, but frankly, he doesn’t care. “Hanzo Shimada was the chosen one—that’s what your source said. Summary
Hanzo Shimada was 21 when he died to his brother's hand. He was ready to accept death, but the ever elusive Overwatch had other plans for him. Nothing could have ever prepared him for the onslaught of conflicting feelings towards his new body, the realization that the people he was supposed to lead betrayed him, or the annoying cowboy that really needed to learn what the term "personal space" meant.
