Solar is a dead-beat dad (we've known this) and is abusive, yet no one cares for how Jack gets beat almost daily now."He can take it" solar says, but can he? He didn't think he could. He wanted to be like dazzle, cared for. This family sucks, a lot. He wants to end it because nothing helps anymore not even cutting himself works.

In this story, you'll find the answer to those questions. One day, when the New Moon is going about business as usual, the portal opens and out comes a mysterious, broken animatronic who isn't looking for a fight. Unfortunately for him, the New Moon isn't looking to show hospitality to a ruined refugee.
(For clarification, I'm not saying my version is better or that SAMS' version is at all a bad character. This is just my fun little AU to showcase my take on Ruin! As I explained in the tags, he's a hybrid between the game and the show, but his personality leans more towards the game version.)

When an unexpected and life-threatening system malfunction caused by Dark Star Power brings everything to a halt, Solar is left with two choices; save Nexus' life and convince the others to spare him, preventing any more chaos and returning Nexus to his original self, or let the one and only chance he'll get to save the one he cares for so much slip like sand between his fingers.
