Out of the corner of his eye, the warrior caught a flash of a blue cape and a pair of yellow eyes as a figure slid behind one of the surrounding pillars, swathed in the shadow.
He bit down a hiss. So he is going to eavesdrop. Tsk.
Not too long ago, maybe half an hour at most, Galacta Knight had been flying a certain pesky knight back to the castle after getting the promise of receiving a tour of the place. He’d be honest for once, he had been looking forward to it just a bit, but no sooner had he touched down, releasing his grip on the other, had the guard commander—Waddle Doo, had been his name—found them and passed on a message. The King of Dreamland wanted to see Galacta Knight.
Meta Knight even had the audacity to nod and then silently walk off in the other direction, pretending all the while that he wasn’t going to spy as the winged warrior was led away by Waddle Doo, and off to the throne room.

Or, Galacta Knight attempts to settle into life in Dreamland, and Meta Knight attempts to solidify a friendship.

Dreamland was a country that was named amidst a nightmare. It's been 5 years since the young prince of the Capitol of Popstar was killed on the morning before his coronation, and the ambience of the ruled is becoming more and more hopeless: exactly what the tyrant Nightmare Wizard, Masutā, wants. At least, that's what he wants to hear. There are whispers of a revolution is moving across the provinces, its progress invisible to the Dark Matter who monitor the country at every crevice. Rumors spread that it's under the command of their captain, the mythical warrior Renascent, that they will finally see freedom from the darkness and the Nightmare Wizard overthrown. It's in this fated window of time that the estranged warrior Meta Knight finds Planet Popstar in search for answers about who he is, and he's willing to track Masutā down himself to the edge of the world to get them. Meta Knight insists on doing so alone; he can't stand the leader of the resistance- he's too loud, too childish, and relies solely on his heart. Every bit of his own weakness. But when he finds himself overpowered again and again in the new world, it's by the bonds he makes with the people there that he realizes that nothing can truly be done alone.
