As I go out the door to the forest Xisuma is giving me a silent goodbye. I walk into the forest light instantly going dark. As I travel for like 30 minutes I finally find the water where the glowshrooms will be. I grab 3 stacks just so Xisuma has a lot of potions. As I am going to leave I see a random Moss in front of me that definitely wasn’t there before.

Something in his lab beeped. He spun in his chair to look over his shelves of robots and other projects, seeing if he’d left any of them on by accident. It didn’t quite sound like a low-battery alarm, but one could never be too sure. It beeped again, this time with more buzz to it, accompanied by a small flash in the corner of his eye.
Wait. That was the phone.
He spun around just before the final ring and pulled it up to his ear as fast as he could. “Y’ello?”
If this was Director Void telling him off for working after hours…
The person on the other end snickered. “Ah, Etho! I thought you might’ve fallen asleep in there.”

Xisuma added a new person to the Hermitcraft server, and Etho got attached to said person. Their relationship seemed cute on the outside, but behind the scenes Etho suffers. Etho doesn't realise this isn’t how a healthy relationship works, and stays in love with the abuser. How long until someone realises the bruises that Etho has been collecting aren't from accidents?
Or, Etho gets himself in an abusive relationship and the hermits realise and help. <3

Summary
Ever since the group of 17 woke up, they've seen themselves involved in a killing game of sorts, known as Last Life.
In Last Life, everyone has a concrete amount of lives - an amount that could fluctuate, according to the person’s actions.
And not everyone started with the same amount.
Some started with two lives - their eyes a pale, scared yellow.
Some started with three lives - a kind, loving light green in their eyes, and others, with four, five and even six lives - their eyes glowing a dark, confident green.
But, as both Bdubs and Etho knew very well, actions have consequences.
Any of the 17 - now 14, as Solidarity, Mumbo and Skizzle had been already murdered, down to no lives - could lose lives, and turn red: scary, aggressive, and possible.
So possible that Bdubs had already been down to red life twice.
But Etho didn’t like to think about how “third time’s the charm”.Then, something never seen before happens - equivalent to being undead, Crimson.
And Etho has to take care of this, all on his own, while the carnage goes down. -

Sometimes, after a session of Last Life, certain duos just need a bit of time to reassure eachother that, no, the crazy and hurtful incident doesn't matter long-term and that it's okay because they're here for eachother. It's hard to remember that it's a game. Supposed to be a game. Etho and Bdubs are having one of those nights.
