“Isn’t that right, Tanaka-kun?”
Hearing his name through the blur of anxiety the young student turned his head to blink dumbly at his handsome teacher’s handsome face. The man tilts his head like a curious predator, Tanaka feeling embarrassment creep up his face as he stands for the entire class to stare at him. There was no way he could look his teacher in the eye now, so he glanced at literally anything but the older man while he fidgeted in place.
“You don’t have any idea what we are talking about , do you?”
“N-no, Satou-sensei… I’m sorry.”

Summary
The only thing Gen loved just as much as getting high was getting high with Takahashi.
When their moms got together and went out leaving the two teens home alone for the night they would break out their stash kick back. Some weed, stupid movies, snacks, and each other was all they could ever want.
The best part for Gen was how affectionate the other boy got. Without a doubt they would fall asleep tangled up on the futon wrapped in a light blanket. It was what the younger looked forward to more than the high itself.

God. Tanaka feels stupid and ridiculous and childish, and he wishes he could just take it all back, swallow everything back. He wishes, briefly, that a shot to the head would restart the day over to where he’d simply pretend not to hear Gen and Takahashi and Okuyama would never have come in with his assumptions and he could’ve just kept silent, because opening his mouth never helps unless he’s screaming, because at least that fucking stops some people in their tracks if he really puts his voice into it.
…For crying out loud.
