Pulling his gaze off to the side, he does his best to stomp out any disapointment that bubbles to the surface - after all, it really shouldn't have been anything he was looking forward to in the first place. If anything, he should be thankful he's not getting thrown around anymore and covered with dirt and dust. Plus, he tries to convince himself, it wasn't like he could just walk straight up to him and ask him to... do things with the voodoo doll.
(He could, technically speaking, but he's not sure if he wants to deal with the gloating, infuriating, admittedly-kind-of-sort-of-attractive smirk that was bound to plaster itself directly onto Darius's expression at his admittance. That's a blow to Jake's ego that he would rather avoid.)
The Arms Dealer has a voodoo doll of the Guide. He makes the executive decision to mess with him.

Basically I'm just faffing about trying to write how I think pre-canon Terraria was, specifically involving The Wall of Flesh and Guide. How Guide plays into this will be seen later-- provided I actually write more than one chapter. Shepherd, a jumbled and curious mage, and a being that refers to themselves as both Tick, and "The guardian of the forest". These two figures momentarily take the newcomers by the hand and give them a taste of this new, strange world, and how fellow Terrarians have affected it.
