Charles Vane is the most successful and notorious pirate in the Caribbean. However, his life turns upside down when a certain new and upcoming pirate captain steps into his life as she destroys his cabin and his peace. He is intrigued, and she starts haunting his dreams and stealing his most precious treasure: his heart.

A man that had been through so much and had fought against his enemies for years, who had seen the Devil and spat back in his face. He was the same man who wiped away the tears in her eyes as she stared at the picture of her grandmother and worked to help her along her journey to find the Abyssal Lantern. He was a wild contradiction of a man and his story was one Cordelia wanted to understand, to know just as well as her own.
