Summary
ayano froze, quivering as her muscles tensed up from her finger tips to her toes. she heard her heart grow louder and faster with each beat. she knew who that voice was— but maybe, hopefully, she had misheard it.
on the horizon, over the flower field, stood a woman in a white lab coat, carefully walking through the chrysanthemums. she was looking around, her brown high ponytail swaying with each turn, her red hair clips catching the light of the dull fog.
“mom?” ayano breathed, barely audible.
she turned and ran before she even had time to dust off her skirt. she was running away from her mom, just like she did to the rest of her family.

(ayano has died. she succeeded in her plan: steal a snake from the kagerou daze. prevent her dad from getting it. but what now? what is she supposed to do? and what will she do when her mom finds her in the kagerou daze? Summary
when i was 12 years old i died. my body was crushed under the weight of a kei truck.
i died on impact. the driver had lost control of his vehicle, and a failure in its breaks caused the truck to careen towards me. he had tried to turn out of the way, causing the truck to make impact and drift leftwards, making a large sweeping motion like window wipers. it spun 168 degrees, smearing burnt rubber against the street, screaming and screaming until it jolted and came to a stop.
from where he was standing, he should’ve died. and in a way, i suppose he did. my arm had been torn from the grasp of his hand, and by all means, the truck should’ve hit him. i’m certain it did hit him. that’s when he first died. he died with me. he died several times before and several times after. the person his parents knew from birth to his 11 years of age was torn to shreds with my body.
