Summary
“It’s part and parcel of the deal that there will be no distractions. Nothing that’s more important. Than the job.”
“Wait, is this about –”
“Yes, Mr Jacobi. It is. I chose the job, and Goddard isn’t in the habit of giving anything back once it’s theirs. There is no Warren Kepler apart from Major Warren Kepler of the SI-5.”
Jacobi swallows. “With all due respect, sir, I think that's a load of crap.”Of inappropriate relations with one’s superior officer, and the consequences thereof. And what the hell is Kepler’s deal? With everything?!

Summary
Daniel Jacobi wakes up one day with a voice in his head that tells him he used to be an astronaut. This voice, though she claims she used to be a real person and a dear friend of his, has no evidence of existing.
And yet, running into an old- friend? Colleague? Coworker? Whatever- might provide the push he needs to finally dig into why his all-too-fuzzy memory is the way it is.

"Jacobi," Isabel says, and when he doesn't answer she takes him by the shoulders and guides him to sit on a boulder. "Are you here with me?" She presses a bottle of water into his hands, forces him to drink it.
"I thought things would be different," Jacobi says. "Now. After."

Brace yourselves! To mentally prepare myself for the new season of Wolf 359 where we're going to find out that everyone is okay and it was just an elaborate prank, I'm writing a drabble a day, every day, until the airing of the new episode 'Pan Pan'. It will just be fluff or crack, mostly ending in two people kissing or Doug ending up in the broomcloset. That's right- NO ANGST. NONE AT ALL. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO WRITE 14 FLUFFY THINGS IN A ROW FOR THIS FANDOM. IT NATURALLY PAINS ITSELF. *Breathes in deeply* Okay. Yay.

Summary
But not like before. No, this is like he has new eyes. New optic nerves. New brain. "Was it always this bright in here?" He asks, wrinkling his nose.
"The star," comes Daisuke's answer. He stands by the big bay windows, bathed in blue light. Hm. When did that start? It used to be red. Stars don't just change color. Well, they do, but if it had done so in the usual way, they wouldn't be alive. "It started glowing when…when…"
Curly nods. "Very blue. Very nice."
---
Renée leans over and looks at the bottle a little closer. "I don't even know if this stuff qualifies as mouthwash. It just seems like alcohol and sugar." She turns to Hilbert. "As much as I hate to even ask, can we make it usable?"
He shrugs. "Might be able to boil out the alcohol and utilize the sugar. Nothing guaranteed, of course."
Minkowski sighs, pinches the bridge of her nose and breathes out for three or so seconds, sighs again, and nods. "Well. That's something at least. Maybe not starving to death is better than definitely starving to death.

Summary
Minkowski's first performance at Goddard University was supposed to go smoothly. It was not, by any stretch of the imagination, supposed to involve President Cutter getting hit in the chest with a harpoon or the looming threat of expulsion.
Plus, student manual loopholes, a stealth mission, and Hannibal Lecter.

“Where do I start?”
“How did you meet”
“It wasn’t that interesting"“Well then, how did you start working for Godard?”
“I met Colonel Kepler in a bar.”
“And then…?
“And then what do you think?
“...”
“Honestly how I hit enough of a rock bottom to work for Godard is a more interesting story–”
“Well then why don’t you–”
“--but I’m not going to tell that story either.”
Hera would have sighed if she could. “Look, I just… I just miss Maxwell.” Jacobi opened his mouth to say something, but Hera cut him off. “And I know that what I feel is nothing compared to how you must feel, but that’s why I’m asking you. I want you to tell me a story that will make me feel like I know her a little bit better. Like I have something of her to hold on to. Can you do that for me?”
Jacobi paused, then replied, “yes. Yes, I can.”
After everything that goes down in orbit around Wolf 359, Daniel Jacobi finally gets around to grieving for Alana, and understanding what has happened.- Language:

"You know he can’t come back, right? Even if it was possible at one point the star’s inactive now, there won’t be any more flares.”
“I know.”
“Then what’s the point?” She asked.
He wanted to say because a part of him still needed him but he couldn’t admit that to her yet. “Because he deserves better than rotting in that ship until it burns up in the star.”
