“Rose! Look who came back!” At Chantal’s cheerful greeting the teal-haired woman in a leather jacket and cuffed jeans at the kitchen island turned around to face Rose.
“Rose!” she called, reaching out with a huge smile.
“Barbie? Is that you?” Rose stepped forward into a big hug, marvelling at the changes in her friend’s appearance.
“It is me! Do you like my haircut?” She ran her hand through her short, asymmetrical undercut as Rose catalogued the pink, purple and blue pin on her jacket and the simple teal blouse which was unbuttoned to reveal a white camisole underneath.
