As cozy as the place was, it still wasn’t anything like the lounge. He could hear the soft swell of music being played in the room to the left, layered with the chatter of people and machines in the casino room to the right of the restaurant. Vic is standing next to him, panning his gaze around the room and occasionally checking his wristwatch while Nog silently fights with every little fiber in his being that just wants the freedom, some sign, no matter how minuscule, to latch onto the hologram's arm and lean on him rather than the black wood cane he had given him as a gift. This was a date after all, the setting is too objectively romantic for it not to be, and yet Nog is keeping as much of an arm's length as the stanchions on either side of the velvet rug path leading up to the front of the house will allow him to.
This was a date…
(Or; nog and vic were fucking in that holosuite.)

Quark loved his mother.

But Moogie got under his nerves like nobody else did.
“Oh? You did?” Quark asked, doing his best not to sneer at his mother. He didn’t want to be outright disrespectful — she did raise him.
“Yes! I was going to ask you if you could take on a favor.” His mother smirked over the screen. “There's a woman named Yasha. She’s been learning how to make a profit as a female.”
A stone dropped in his belly.
“Mother,” Quark said tightly over the subspace call, “you can’t be serious.”

“I thought about this,” Odo confesses, speaking closely in his ear with that gravel that makes Quark tingle all over. However, it’s not filled with Odo’s usual animosity, no, there’s a softness to his voice, a fondness.
The gravel is only there because he knows Quark likes it, gets off on it, and isn’t it just wonderful that Odo knows that about him. That for their entire acquaintance, relationship, it always gives Quark a little thrill to hear Odo speak to him.

“Ah, of course,” Bashir says, still facing the console, “then explain to me what’s so medically urgent about being fitted for… earplugs.”
