As Sofia takes off towards the giant cobra, Pete catches sight of himself in the windows of the skyscraper on his right. He's just in his casual workout clothes - sneakers, headband, orange shorts with vents in the side, a tank top with the word PHAN-TASTIC written across the front - but the breeze has tousled his hair very nicely indeed, and his chest is gleaming with lines of magical light. He looks like Superman, honestly - well, Superman if he had graffitied a terrible pun onto his shirt, but the point still stands.
Pete smiles, and the three mirror copies smile with him. Maybe it's his imagination, or the aforementioned lines of light, but he could swear he sees happiness on their faces. It's a strange, attractive type of joy - one that comes from recognizing yourself, from seeing your final form and finding it good.
