Summary
Hajime leaned against the wall and let the cold work its way in. The noise from the party thinned to a muffled pulse through the door.
He was still catching his breath when it swung open again.
The door gave a soft thud as it closed. Hajime turned his head.
Oikawa stood a few paces away, framed in the vending machine’s pale glow. He looked thinner than Hajime remembered, or maybe the coat only sharpened the lines of him—dark wool, collar turned up, a faint sheen of snowmelt clinging to the shoulders. His hair fell longer at the front now, slipping into his eyes until he pushed it back with a quick, unconscious sweep of his hand.
The gesture caught in Hajime’s chest, familiar in a way that made the years between them feel both endless and suddenly undone.
(In which Iwaizumi and Oikawa have a conversation outside a bar.)

Summary
“I miss you,” Oikawa says at last. It must pain him to say as much, because his words falter into pitchy, hiccuping sounds halfway through. He swallows and huffs to steel himself. “I just miss you. I guess.”
“You guess?” Iwaizumi asks, to give himself a moment to think.
“Muh-uh.”
Iwaizumi closes his eyes. “Same as you miss all your other partners?”

Summary
Keiji watched the match alone in their rented flat, a forgotten manuscript beside him and the afternoon slowly collapsing into quiet. The fifth set had been razor-close—Bokuto sharp and composed, loud only when it mattered. When it ended, Keiji didn’t move. He hadn’t turned on the lights. Then, at 18:41, a message lit up his phone:Can I come straight to you?
(In which Bokuto loses a match and finds comfort in coming home.)

Summary
The train pulled into Warszawa Gdańska just after five p.m., and the platform hissed like it was exhaling. Tendou stepped off with one hand gripping the sticky handle of his roller suitcase, the other tugging his scarf higher against the wind. The sky above the station was already turning the color of old zinc, bruised and pale, and the snow on the platform was melting in streaks—dirty at the edges, but soft, like the city hadn’t decided yet if it was really done with winter.
He spotted Ushijima almost immediately, standing where the overhead heaters didn’t quite reach. Coat zipped, duffel slung across one shoulder, still—of course—five minutes early.
(In which a chocolatier leaves Paris for Warsaw, learns how fire behaves differently in a hearth kitchen, and discovers that building a life with someone means letting the quiet parts speak for themselves.)

Summary
Precision and routine hold two lives in orbit: one behind the pass of a Michelin-starred kitchen, the other on the hardwood of Olympic volleyball. In a city thick with heat, pressure, and possibility, Tendou and Ushijima navigate long shifts, early matches, and the quiet negotiations of building a future—measured not in grand declarations, but in small decisions, shared meals, and the space to ask: what comes next, if it’s you?
(Or, five days in Paris, in July.)

Summary
Goosebumps prickle across Oikawa’s skin and he licks his lips, capturing the soft tissue between his teeth. He keeps tracing lines along his lower abdomen as though that might contain the hunger that burns through his stomach. His voice sounds breathless, even to his own ears. “What do you want to do to me, Hajime?”
The answer is a whisper of Oikawa’s name. A desperate sound. A plea. Iwaizumi’s breathing is irregular; silent yet impossibly loud. It’s so close that Oikawa can practically feel its warmth brushing against his cheek. He fosters it, pretends Iwaizumi is right there with him, mouth latched onto the side of Oikawa’s neck and palms gliding across his side and hips.
or: iwaizumi leaves for a work trip and oikawa misses him. a little.

Summary
Her job was a thousand small fires, none of which were allowed to get dramatic.
But the buses would start arriving soon. She’d meet them all—Bokuto in a hoodie and indoor shoes already on, Sakusa with a duffel packed like a diagram, Yaku carrying his own French press like it was a weapon.
And when the others came in—sleep-deprived, jetlagged, bruised and sweating through their compression sleeves—someone would hand them towels, confirm their rooms, and pretend not to notice the blank, shivering pause most of them went through after reentry.
That someone, unfortunately, was her.

Summary
Hinata shifted his weight, moving out of the bright window light. “I saw clips from your last match,” he said. “That dump set in the third set—looked like you were about to go cross. I miss watching you do that. You look—clear, when you’re playing.”
Kageyama didn’t know what to say to that, so he just watched Hinata for a moment through the screen. Sunlight touched the edge of Hinata’s jaw, catching on the curve of his mouth.
“Do you think,” Kageyama said finally, “you’d have time to come here? Even just for a few days.”
Hinata blinked. “To Rome?”
Kageyama nodded.
There was a pause—longer than necessary, but not uncertain. Hinata rubbed a thumb along the side of his mug. “Yeah,” he said. “Yeah, I think I could."
(Hinata visits Kageyama in Rome.)

Summary
You are perfectly capable of running the annual school play on your own. You are the theatre club’s director after all. It is your job to be in charge of the kids, to make sure they have costumes, and have their lines memorized… and have a set to work with… and that people show up on opening night. It’s been something you’ve managed for several years, and you don’t need the help of the school’s boys volleyball coach now of all years.
But since their season got cut short, their coach reached out to see if his team could put their overflowing energy towards something productive, such as helping the school’s theater club.
It’s not all bad though, at least there will be more hands to help on stage. And you have to admit, Sugawara Koushi isn't horrible to look at. Maybe this won’t be so bad after all.
