Lexi felt anxious at the thought of doing this again. Of comforting someone and floundering in her need to do something, to help in some way and inevitably making things worse but she quickly banished that thought as soon as it came, the only evidence of it ever existing being the lingering guilt in Lexis gut. He had just lost his baby brother and she was fucking worrying about herself.
She had asked to drive him home and he had nodded wearily, not looking her in the eyes. He hadn’t looked her in the eyes once since the trial began.
She ignored it.
He needed time. That much she knew about grief, people needed time, if not to heal then to at least build some version of themselves that could exist in the real world, that could exist without breaking. For Rue, the only way she could do that was through drugs. She wondered what his vice would be.
She wondered if it could be her.

This time it was Lexi who got to shut him up. She catches his bottom lip with her teeth, getting a silent groan out of him. Fezco's hands fall from her face to her waist, pulling her on top of him. Lexi's hands were around his neck pressing herself deeper into the kiss, she didn't even notice that she started grinding on his lap until she could feel something change.
They broke apart only to catch their breath, Lexi felt butterflies and embarrassment at the same time. They lock eyes and she can't help but laugh, her head falls in the crook of his neck.
“Why you ‘laughing?” Fez asked the girl that was hiding in his arms, Lexi smiled against his neck.
“I wanted to do that since the time I showed up at your store, I think.”
“For real?” He kisses the side of her mouth as if he was trying to catch her smile with his lips.’
