Once again, X is given a new partner to handle these remaining threats.

Summary
Bass and Quint have, after the attack of R-Shadow and the Dimensions, settled into a new life alongside the now ex-Mega Man Killers and the Roll and Kalinka from Quint's timeline. No family is without its hardship, though, and not everyone is having an easy time adjusting to the new status quo.
X and Zero are basking in the honeymoon phase of their relationship, but with who they are and what they do for a living, their situation is more complicated than either of them would prefer.
Absolutely the last thing anyone needs is to get mixed up in a time travel fiasco...

Summary
Quint has gotten used to his life as a member of the Mega Man Killers, an existence that he never asked for, watching the future stray further and further from the peaceful world he remembers helping to bring about as Mega Man. When Bass, of all people, finds out about his past, the last thing he expects is to be recruited to help Bass woo his younger alternate self.
There's a lot of work to be done before ANYONE would consider Mega Man's number one rival as a romantic prospect, and Quint's got no shortage of issues to work through, either.
