So, I think we can all agree that the sequel to Disney's The Jungle Book was a massive flop that was filled with nothing but wasted potential. It's just an inferior rehash of the original. The music isn't memorable, the story is convoluted, and some of the characters are worse than before. Sure, the voice acting is decent, at least all actors are having fun, and the animation is not terrible, for direct-to-video standards, but Michael Eisner pushed it for theaters for revenue, which it did. It only got money because of Disney fans' nostalgia for the original, which broke their hearts. At best, this is mediocre; at worst, just bad. With that being said, here's how I'd fix it:

Mowgli hasn't seen his jungle friends for months but today he will finally get to reunite with all of his friends and he couldn't be more excited and neither can his little brother Ranjan who persuades him to leave early. So the two brothers leave in the early hours of the morning but whilst having a quick swim they spot a plant that wasn't there before, a plant that is far from ordinary and very dangerous.

Mowgli and Shanti have left the man village so they can be along for a couple days of fun leaving Ranjan bored and alone. He decides to try and find his brother and friend so he can play with them but gets lost in the jungle, fortunately is he found by a pair of wild children, they are more than happy to play with the boy, including playing thier favourite game midnight snack.
