It turns out that death only stings. Sunny is a living witness to it.
Sunny threw himself off a building, expecting a painless end, but when he fell, incredibly, he survived, undergoing a long time of operations until he was reborn in every way, physically and mentally, after surviving through the Merging of himself, Abbi, His Favourite, Omori and, without knowing, the very levels of his mind, like White Space, Black Space and Headspace.
Reborn into a world that seems to understand better than ever, full of nonsense, bizarre and inexplicable events, fashion, strange symbols and mysterious symbologies, they meet friends who are depressed and broken by life. Kel, has lost himself. Aubrey has forgotten what it meant to feel alive. Hero has become bitter and detached from everything, and Basil has transformed into something inexplicable.
New Sunny. New Faraway. New colours, same trauma. Everything dies, and Sunny knows it. But not like this. Willing to change everything, they will defy their destiny and destroy every barrier to get to what torments their friends, and in their own style, they will reach the ultimate prize...

Summary
Sunny and Basil told the truth.
Their friends took a little, but they eventually forgave both of them, letting Sunny and Basil's years of self-torment be their punishment. The group stayed true to their promise, keeping in touch even after Sunny's move; it wasn't uncommon for a very annoyed Hero to have to shut down a 2AM chatroom about Captain Spaceboy, or Sweetheart, or whatever had caught the younger teens' eyes that day.
It's been a year since that day in the hospital, and Sunny has mostly settled into his new life, finally going back to high school in the city, and visiting Faraway whenever Hero was back from college. His (admittedly nice) mundane existence is interrupted by the sudden return of a certain someone, and he couldn't be happier about it. He *had* forgotten one thing though.
Mari was So. Damn. Annoying.
He wouldn't have it any other way.

Sunny will stand up for himself , He'll show everyone that he is as Capable as mari.
Act II
Aubrey always felt alone. Isolated. Even if she had friends who cared for her very much, she could never be truly sure if they all truly loved her the same way she loved them.
But when a single action by her father turned her whole life upside down she was hurt in a way no one else understood. There she was depending on others again and again and never giving anything back... She hated that. She hated herself.
