The murder could've been easily prevented if the boy's mother had bothered to take him with her, but she neglected to do so! I considered coming up with a story where this is brought up and put into focus, but it wasn't until I saw the Sleepaway Camp spinoff film "Judy" that I came up with something: What if Judy got involved?
