Summary
Peridot is a woman in her twenties who's stuck with a job run by the Diamond authorities. Despite the low pay, the stakes for her job are high.
Peridot works to document 'top secret' findings. Despite her working there for years, she still has seen nothing too peculiar and she's been treated with a lack of respect. One day, she is sent on a mission, where she meets a creature who is less supernatural than made out to be. In fact, the creature is just a winged girl name Lapis Lazuli, who peridot ends up finding herself interested in after saving her from the Diamonds' company.
Peridot has to decide her morals and where her beliefs lie. Will she defend Lapis, or will she stay loyal to the Diamonds?

Ruby gasped out in agony against the swift kick that sent them tumbling into the dark cavern entrance of the mine shaft. The heat from the fire crystals buried in the underground sent sulfurous vapors up to the surface of the mine, making them gag as they were once again thrust into the maw of the cave tunnel. So, the Diamond wanted a fire elemental to pick fire crystals, huh? Ruby hoped that whatever purpose the crystals served the hag was worth slaughtering the entire village of Corundum to find them. They could still hear the screams of the dead calling to them as they stared into their fiery purgatory.

Summary
The story of Cinderella has been a fan-favorite ever since March 4, 1950 when the Walt Disney movie premiered across the United States. There are TONS of remakes. The theme is worn.
But throw some smol gay rocks into the mix and it gets a little interesting.
Meet Ruby, the Cinderella. She's fairly optimistic about life despite the fact she's a slave to her stepfather and his sons. Meet Sapphire, the Prince Charming. Despite the queen's attempts to find her a husband, nothing works for some reason. The two never would've met if it hadn't been for a twist of fate- a ball held by the queen for unmarried youth of the kingdom to try to find a mate, but the real intention is to find a suitable husband for Sapphire.
But a dark secret is uncovered during the event, and the REAL drama doesn't start until after the ball.
