Summary
Y/n is the first full human to be a part of the Crystal Gems. She moved in with her cousin Vidalia at the age of 13, meeting Greg and Rose the day she arrived. Having convinced Rose to train her and eventually let her join, she's been a part of the team every since. After losing Rose, Y/n promised to help take care of Steven and to keep Earth safe in honor of Rose. Adventure after adventure, Y/n starts to find it hard to keep up after Steven is finally old enough to tag along. Once Homeworld gems and even The Diamonds begin to step into the picture, Y/n starts to doubt how much she could have ever been ready for this.

While taking a walk on the beach, using the crashing waves of the ocean to drown out the constant noises in her head of doing her best for the Crystal Gems and helping Steven Universe protect the world, Garnet finds a sparkling gem on the dunes unlike any she had seen before. Thinking it belongs to another warrior, she takes it back to the beach home of Steven (where he is nowhere to be found), but before she can examine it further, the gem suddenly glows with energy and blasts Garnet, causing her not only to de-fuse back into Ruby and Sapphire, but also shrink to a tiny size as well. At nearly the same time, Pearl and Amethyst walk into the home and nearly step on the shrunken duo. Ruby and Sapphire question who is the best one to help them with their dilemma, and so the two eventually agree to split up with one trying to get Pearl's attention (Ruby) and the other rushing towards Amethyst (Sapphire). Alas, the rapid movements of both Pearl and Amethyst cause Ruby and Sapphire to get into sticky situations as they end up either in Pearl's nostrils or Amethyst's butt crack…
