Summary
Após a derrota de Naraku, Rin passou a viver numa aldeia e foi criada pela sacerdotisa Kaede. Sesshoumaru e o seu leal servo, Jaken, costumavam visitar a jovem frequentemente. Contudo, tais visitas, em determinado momento, cessaram. Durante anos, Rin indagou-se o motivo desse sumiço repentino. E logo chegou a conclusão de que não passava de um fardo para os seus amigos. A jovem, então, tomou uma decisão: iria transformar-se numa exterminadora de youkais. Uma vez forte e experiente, poderia voltar a seguir Sesshoumaru sem atrapalhá-lo. Aos dezoitos anos, Rin abandona a aldeia e a sacerdotisa Kaede. Com Kirara, ela embarca numa perigosa viagem até o palácio de Sesshoumaru. Durante o percurso, surgem alguns questionamentos: Sesshoumaru irá aceitá-la de volta? Será que Rin irá conseguir atravessar a poderosa barreira de proteção que envolve o palácio do youkai? A trama traz diversas surpresas e a existência de um novo personagem mudará completamente o destino de Rin.
