Tutoring the neighborhood kids, cleaning the trailer so her mother doesn't get angry, wearing the same yellow blouse and orange skirt with her hair fixated in buns on either side of her head, and reading every book the library has to offer. Though, something gnaws on her in the back of her mind; she's never been in love.
Shane McCannon absolutely does not have his life together. Everyday he struggles to keep himself afloat, tending to ruin anything he touches. So, when his dead friends entrusted him with caring for their daughter, he decided to dedicate his life to making sure he does not ruin this one thing. He keeps his head down and stays out of the way. That is, until his goddaughter's teacher decides to crawl into his brain and bury herself there.TW: Domestic Abuse!!!! (Pam is a bad mom)
