You took a moment to admire him. His sleeves were rolled all the way up above his bicep, showing off his impressive muscles. His jaw set, dark eyes looking straight ahead. Those eyes always mesmerised you, the color on the border of purple and black. They reminded you of space. You couldn’t help but get lost in them. He was growing his hair out, his dark gray locks just reaching down to the nape of his neck now.
You registered the smirk on his lips once your eyes looked down to them. He’d caught you staring. He shifted his body so that he was facing you, pressing one arm above your head, caging you against the bookshelf.
“Like what you see, sweetheart?” Aether taunted, looking down at you with a smug glint in his eyes. You blushed furiously, both at being caught and the current position you found yourself in.
“Maybe I do,” you smiled coyly, trying to ignore the intense butterflies in your stomach as his gaze turned to one of fondness.

There it was again, that feeling like a punch in the gut to Dew’s stomach. Aether was so gentle, treated him like he was delicate, something fragile. Dewdrop never had that.
