Summary
Charlie is the meat plant’s quality control technician. She takes her job very seriously while dodging unwanted advances from slaughtermen twice her age. She survives only to support her beloved pets. As a victim of abuse herself, our heroine naturally befriends the new guy, Steven, a quiet, reserved boy in awe of Charlie’s dark past. Throughout the work week, the pair get to know each other more. A familiar kinship forms between them and on Friday night, when Steven has had a little too much to drink, Charlie dutifully steps in. That same night, Steven learns what true love feels like. He becomes addicted to it, craving more. Charlie gives Steven the strength needed to finally confront the Hagbeast and get his life back.
