Caelus finally got his own room, a massive empty space that the Astral Express Crews gave him to decorate himself. While having his own space was convenient, he would sometimes reminisce about the time when he used to sleep on the couch.
But there was something entirely else that he would think about until he lost in thought. It’s Dan Heng. A man that had aroused all kinds of unfamiliar feelings in him, the one man Caelus kept thinking back whenever he came across a vast sea on his trailblaze mission—blue, beautiful, endearing, and mysteriously dangerous.
To say the least, Dan Heng was a hot pan Caelus could not carelessly touch. Not until he poured it down the cold water or left it to cool down on itself.

Caelus proceeded to intently examine the floor, his shoulders falling in a hushed sigh. “It’s… complicated.”
I pressed my lips together, a bitter feeling stirring in my heart. So I wasn’t overthinking things—that much was correct. But that still left the mystery of how his behavior had grown so amicable after the tongue-lashing he’d given me only a few days prior—a mystery even to him, it seemed.
Indeed, the truth was often messy and contradictory, but that didn’t necessarily make it any less genuine. Inconvenient truths tended to coexist, almost paradoxically, in many cases.

Summary
It had hardly been a day or two and I was already infatuated with Dan Heng. If you must, call me shallow for getting so hung up on narrowly missing being kissed awake by such an attractive and soft-spoken man—especially since many other things, like being chased by space monsters, for example, were much less pleasant to think about.
And if that alone makes you think I'm hopeless, just wait until you see my reaction when I found out that he might actually be a dragon.
