Summary
The re-telling of Ocarina of Time as it branches into the Downfall Timeline. This fiction is intended to explain how exactly the downfall timeline's branch was created and to connect Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Past. It is a story of Adventure, Love, and Great Tragedy. Feedback welcome! Rated Teen for Violence, Some Language, and Some Adult Themes.
Link must struggle to survive in a kingdom that is rapidly being consumed by evil. He has pulled the Master Sword, but he is too young to wield it. He befriends one of the few Hylian Knights to survive Ganondorf's attack. Together, they will have to train Link to be a cunning warrior while still keeping the evil forces at bay and protecting Princess Zelda.

Book 2 of the War of Imprisonment Series - Exploring the events of Ocarina of Time as it branched into the Downfall Timeline.
Link and his master have dealt Ganon and his minions a serious blow. But the Great God of Darkness cannot be so easily pushed aside!
Frustrated by the bickering between his followers, Ganon summons Nabooru for 'an important meeting' and commands Agahnim to search the catacombs beneath Hyrule Castle for some 'hidden secret'.
Meanwhile, Princess Zelda begins her training with Impa, and slowly begins to unlock what it means to be Hylia's Daughter.

Not two decades later, a young man with strange origins finds his path uncertain, as he learns he is a reincarnation of that same hero. Now, he must be the real hero among all those who have fallen.
Set in a version of Hyrule combining all elements from several mainline games.

With Link gone and Ganondorf ruling Hyrule, Princess Zelda and her bodyguard Impa flee Hyrule. However, as Ganondorf's power grows, there is soon no place for Zelda and the Triforce of Wisdom to hide. With a little divine help, Zelda undergoes a transformation and a new being is created. Sheik has no idea who lives inside him, his only concern is to protect Hyrule until the Hero of Time can return.
This is my telling of what happened to Zelda (and Sheik) during Link's years in the Temple.
