We Won’t Want is an Australian fanfic of a non-fiction Australian “survival guide”- Hard Times Handbook by Keith and Irene Smith (1984)- after the fashion of the anarchist and self-sufficiency zines and other freely distributed non-fiction guides that formed lifesaving resources for me, inscapable, during years of dumpster diving, homelessness, extreme poverty, freeganism, off-the-books gender transition, squatting, and navigating Centrelink and NGO agencies.
