Summary
Jane had a full name once, she is certain of this, because she remembers shearing them off to release a fluttering moth thing that had made it's home inside her skull. She has forgotten those names, but regrettably, her crimes remain in memory. The Suppression Bureau would call it duty, Connie calls it a necessary evil, and those who escaped her call her many other names, but the crimes remain nonetheless.
Brancrug offers an alternative, a choice even. She is not sure what that choice is yet, but her instincts tell her that it is in fact, a choice. Of course, nothing is ever as simple as choice- or even the repair of a burned down library. Something always hides beneath the surface, or coils, or flutters, but it is there, even if it can only be seen in Numa.
A writing focused on the Gods-Who-Were-Stone, and the Gods-Who-Were-Blood, of the Executioner, her past, and what her writings could mean for the Mansus and the Wake.
