Basically Vontra teases Roz about getting attached to a goose, ticking the wild robot off. Vontra ended up pushing too many buttons and Roz ends up pinning her down to show her who's boss!

This is a way to add things I didn’t get to in the original story. I didn’t add it either bc it dragged on too much and stopped the story or it felt unnatural. But luckily I’ll have this to tie up any loose end.

After Brightbill has flown away, Roz finds herself all alone on the island. She's in desperate need of someone like her, someone to talk to (other than Fink, who only has snarky things to say). She decides to go down into the cliffside caves bordering the tidepool to see an old acquaintance, and save her fellow ROZZUM, Rummage, from the incoming winter.

She remembers ROZZUM 7134 staring at the art humans would do, at the tattoos one of the male humans had the rare times they would change out of their uniforms. She remembers noticing he had colours unnatural to his ethnicity, lines that dived and intertwined with each other, his skin his own personal canvas.
She remembers equating it to her licensing number, the 7134 that was always there.

And she walked forwards, the scientists voices blending into the background as she got to the glass panel and could only find it in herself to stare.
She had left, promising that distance would keep them safe, and she condemned her heart and home to this alone.
An AU where Vontra managed to get some of Roz's memories sent to Universal Dynamics, and Roz's sacrifice was made null.
At least they're caged together, even while they're apart.

..with some being weirder than others.

She stared out the port window as waves crashed unforgivingly over the ship. The weather had quickly turned sour. Her eyes closed as the ship rocked with the storm. She didn’t like it when Universal Dynamics sent her on ships. While she loved the ocean’s beauty, its power terrified her. But they believed it would harden her against her fears. Then her worst fear happens. Everything blurred as she ran to the top deck, the ship losing power. The few humans, RECOS, and VONTRA on board scrambled from console to console as the situation quickly spiraled out of control. Then she saw it. Standing outside in the rain, she spotted the monster wave in the darkness. Her eyes widened, lightning illuminating the ominous sight as it approached the powerless vessel. And then, nothing.
