A gothic romance that tells the story of two souls in love that are torn apart by the living and the dead. Isle Revland is a woman born with the ability to speak to the dead, a curse she cannot shake from. Jonathan Smith is the opposite- a man of beaming sunlight that finds happiness and life where he walks. Somehow the two of them intertwine quickly with love and admiration, only to find death in the end.
Plagued by his scheming sister, Jonathan also struggles as his wife's mental health deteriorates with a new ghost filled with animosity. What makes matters worse if that the ghost haunting Isle is....her. It wants her body and soul for its own, taking her husband and children away. Is it possible for a love that burned so bright to one day collapse, for two kindled souls to be shredded apart?
In this Victorian gothic romance, Isle soon finds that the freedom and love she wanted was not worth the price. -
