I read Brave New World years ago and it really resonated with me. This is my reimagining of Brave New World. John has a twin sister named Stella. Stella is Katara-ish. They grow up in the Malpais tribe next to an abandoned 21st century neighborhood. They land in the World State, Linda gets disguised in a corset-ish device and makeup. They have a weird-ish family dynamics in the World State. It has some 21st century satirization. I am not going to claim that I am as good as Huxley, but I enjoyed the novel’s themes on authenticity and I want to reflect those themes too, but commenting a lot on the modern world. Is this as tragic? A lot of tragedy kept to reflect Huxley's original themes but, I am not going to spoil the ending of my fic. I kept a lot of the tragedy to stay true to Huxley’s original themes and the painful clash between the Savage world and the World State, at the same time, I wanted to give Stella and John’s story a slightly more hopeful ending.

When one smiles, their skin automatically stretches, it can make them look entirely different-younger, as example, or in this case, more approachable. Mattheo's entire face changes, and it's a bizarre sight if you aren't used to it, which you definitely aren't. It's admittedly a very pretty view, his brown eyes softening, not appearing as intense as they normally do.
Colours— there are so many colours complementing his face. Brown for his eyes and hair, red for the tip of his nose due to the cold, a pink-ish shade for his upper cheeks, "Red," you say. "Your favourite colour, right?"
