Maybe what Griffin saw in him wasn’t an underlying uniqueness that made him oh so likable and interesting, maybe he just saw someone who seemed vulnerable, and most importantly, someone who didn’t seem like he could bring himself to say no to any of his proposals.
Because what other option did Milo have but to succumb to mistreatment and emotional abuse when he literally had no other friends to turn to once Griffin was no longer close to his reach?
And Griffin had him right where he wanted him, he saw someone flexible, mallow, cornered, scared, vulnerable, sad little blonde girl, crying in court for the rest of…
He yelled into his own hand.
Just like the first time, God, that phrasing still stung.
