Eric Bittle has walked into a huge mess. At least he has his new friends; Holster, Ransom, and Shitty to make things bearable. And there's his cute tutor Zimms.
Shitty Knight is beyond done with his uncool teammates. He already has to keep his bro Jack safe. Now, he has to protect the new frogs from those homophobic pricks? At least Parse and Tater can keep them in check, so that's a task crossed off his to-do list.
Jack Zimmermann couldn't say no to Bittle, not when he looked so desperately sad. Now he is moonlighting as a tutor, under the alias Zimms. Kenny and Shitty will never let him live it down.

Playing hockey that really means something. Making friends on purpose, not just because they’re the only ones available. Going to parties where people sort of know you, where they call your name; where your teammates smile and smell like cinnamon and weed and have nice asses and ex-boyfriends; where that's okay, it’s all okay.

Ransom craned his neck, trying to spot Bitty over the end-of-finals crowd at Annie’s. He’d been pleasantly surprised, to say the least, when Bitty had texted him, asking to hang out.
The smallest member of SMH was plenty friendly: hung out at the Haus a lot (bless those pies, no matter what Captain Robot said about them), but he’d yet to seek out anyone but Shitty for one-on-one time outside of pracky.
(No, that “checking clinic” with Jack didn’t count, Jack practically kidnapped the kid from his dorm.)

Of all the ways people have found to make money off soulmates (and they've found a lot) the most widely mocked are soulmate psychics: people who claim they can tell you things about your soulmate before you meet them—for a fee, of course. Bitty's always thought they're total bunk.
Then Bitty gets to Samwell and meets Jack Zimmermann. For a hot second he thinks Jack's his soulmate, but Jack gives no sign that Bitty's his - and treats Bitty like crap, to boot. Maybe there's something to soulmate psychics after all. Maybe Bitty's one of them.

Bitty's first overnight roadie was a mix of exhilarating, terrifying and confusing. He still wasn't sure he fit in with the SMH, particularly the large and intimidating D-men, so when Ransom and Holster invited him to join them for continental breakfast he worried they were planning a prank or to lecture him about his protein intake.
...In which Ransom and Holster schooled Bitty in the ways of the roadie continental breakfast, Bitty schooled Ransom and Holster in pastries, and a lasting friendship was formed.
