It was like after all these centuries of them being together Yichen could immediately tell what was going on inside his head. “Why, have you had dreams of people and scenes you haven’t ever encountered in your life?” The dragon demon replied and Li Lun couldn’t help but be awestruck. His hand cupped Yichen’s cheek as he started pouring his heart out in front of his beloved which had become rather easy to do over the course of time.
“I’ve been encountering the very same monkey demon in my dreams ever since I’ve been having the need to sleep like a mortal – as you know. I’ve never seen him before in my life but in those dreams it seems like…” Li Lun stopped for a moment, stroking his beloved’s hair. “It seems like we’re in a relationship every time I get back to that dreamscape. The way he’s looking at me there, it’s scary, you know?” Li Lun knew he didn’t need to explain to Yichen that he loved him because after all these centuries, Yichen knew. There was certainly no jealousy in between them anymore. -
